This 6 minute video shows the steps it takes to create jewelry from scratch.
The process we use is called “lost wax casting” and begins with the jeweler making something that looks like jewelry but in wax. A mold is built around this wax and then heated so the wax “disappears” leaving an empty mold for gold.
You can see that even after its cast, there is plenty of work to be done to change a “raw” casting into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
