Beautiful Ethiopian Opal ring in 14 karat rose gold with 0.45 Cttw. diamonds and 2.80 cttw. blue topaz.   The square cut blue topaz are channel set around diamonds that are bead set around the oval opal.  Gorgeous ring designed and created by Bellarri from her “Athena” collection.

Australia has been the dominant force in the opal market for over 100 years. A small discovery in 1994 put Ethiopia on the worldwide opal map. This was followed by important discoveries in 2008 and 2013. Today, Ethiopia is on its way to becoming the second heavyweight in the opal market. Ethiopian opals are not only beautiful, but they generally cost less than similar-quality opal from Australia.
