From the “Fresco Collection”, Blue Topaz Ring in 14 Karat White Gold Designed and Made by Bellarri. There are 3.65 cttw. of custom cut blue topaz. The Swiss blue topaz are channel set on each side of the center, London blue topaz. There are 0.07 cttw. of round brilliant cut diamonds bead set above and below the London blue topaz.
Blue, once the rarest color of topaz, is now the most common, due to an enhancement process that turns colorless topaz blue. After the raw topaz is extracted from the earth and cut, it is irradiated to brown and then heated to sky blue. This enhancement process is permanent.
